Wind Warning in effect for:- Halifax Metro and Halifax County West
Very strong wind gusts that may cause damage are expected.
Locations: Nova Scotia.
Wind gusts: southerly 90 to 100, except 110 km/h along exposed areas of the Atlantic coast.
Time span: late this afternoon until early Saturday morning.
Remarks: Very strong southerly winds are forecast tonight across Nova Scotia. These winds will switch to the west Saturday morning, before gradually easing.
Strong winds may cause tree branches to break or other tree damage.
Local utility outages are possible. High-sided vehicles will be pushed around by the wind. Disruptions to services and travel are possible.
Secure loose objects.
Wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
