Special Weather Statement in effect for:
  • Halifax Metro and Halifax County West
Significant rainfall and very mild temperatures are forecast for tonight and Thursday morning.

Locations: Atlantic coast of mainland Nova Scotia.

Total rainfall: 25 to 50 mm.

Time span: overnight tonight and Thursday morning.

Remarks: Heavy rainfall will be accompanied by very mild temperatures. There remains some uncertainty at this time as to where the heaviest rainfall will occur. Rainfall warnings may be required for some counties.

Temperatures are expected to be over 10 degrees above seasonal normals for this time of year.

Water may pond and pool on roadways. Ensure storm drains are kept clear to help improve local drainage.
